In 1456, Francis Villon and his companions attack a merchant in the forest, only to discover a girl dead from the plague on the cart. This shocking find leads them to abandon their robbery plans. The evening unfolds in an inn where Villon indulges in drinking and dancing, but the festivities are disrupted by the unexpected arrival of a leper.
