Nona the Erratic

The film follows Naima, a young woman sent to work as a servant in Cairo by her father, Abu Saree, to assist with family expenses. Despite her challenging circumstances, Naima is determined to educate herself, learning from elementary school lessons through the kitchen window. This determination leads to tension with the house owner's son, who tries to hinder her academic progress.

As her father's plans to marry her off to a relative loom, Naima takes matters into her own hands and escapes. Her journey reflects not only a quest for education but also a fight for autonomy in a restrictive environment.
