North Star

The plot centers on Wilbur Gale, who, during a party, strikes another man and mistakenly thinks he has killed him. In panic, he flees to the Northwoods, leaving his dog, North Star, behind. The dog is taken in by Noel Blake, a newspaper reporter, which leads to further developments in the story.

Marcia Gale, Wilbur's sister, embarks on a journey to find him after receiving a letter from her brother. She is accompanied by Dick Robbins, who has ulterior motives and sees a chance for blackmail.
