Únos Moravanky

The film revolves around the popular Moravanka brass band as they perform at a fair. Vasek Pivoňka, the bandleader of the local brass band Kulatěnky, seeks to reunite the band after it has disbanded. Initially met with skepticism, the village musicians eventually embrace the idea and begin to rehearse passionately. Meanwhile, characters like Standa, who works at a pig farm, and young Šišák find themselves entangled in personal pursuits alongside the band's journey.

As the band prepares for a concert, they face opposition from the cultural committee. Despite their initial failures, the musicians find joy in playing for themselves, leading to unexpected success. The narrative blends comedic elements with musical performances, showcasing the struggles and triumphs of the band as they navigate their way to a concert in Nechvalin. With its focus on music and community, Únos Moravanky offers a distinctive glimpse into Czech cinema.
