Nota follows Kamal and Erin, a couple grappling with a midlife crisis stemming from years of failed attempts to conceive. On their 10th anniversary, they revisit Bako National Park, hoping to rekindle their bond. However, Erin discovers Kamal's troubling note, hinting at his intention to end his life, which sets off a chain of events that will test their relationship.

As the story unfolds, Erin's feelings of guilt and anger lead her to concoct a murder plot, fueled by Kamal's note. But their journey takes an unexpected turn when Jemat, a local boatman, becomes involved, complicating their plans.
