Obeť

The story follows Mordche, a Jewish goldsmith, who arrives in besieged medieval Trnava with his wife and granddaughter Golda. As the city faces an Ottoman invasion, the king's captain Zenas calls for volunteers to defend it. Amidst this turmoil, the burgomaster's son, a young painter, becomes infatuated with Golda and creates a portrait that possesses magical properties.

Obeť intertwines themes of love, courage, and persecution, set against the backdrop of historical conflict.
