The film follows twins Petr and Pavel as their parents leave for Afghanistan, entrusting them to their uncle Podlipný in Gottwaldov. The brothers quickly make friends with their new classmates, who share a passion for model airplanes. This leads them to enroll in a model-making club, where under the guidance of instructor Dáša, they start building a model of the OK 12 airplane for a competition.

As the story unfolds, Petr and Pavel face the challenge of keeping their inexperience a secret from their peers. Their journey highlights themes of learning, self-discovery, and the importance of friendship.
