The story centers on Michalis, a man suffering from amnesia, who cannot recall the traumatic events he experienced with three other villagers. They were ambushed by enemy forces while attempting to return home after the Albanian front's collapse. Michalis is haunted by his lack of memory regarding the trap that led to the deaths of his companions and his own injury.

The tension escalates when Yannis, one of the missing villagers, returns home. His arrival triggers an emotional upheaval for Michalis, as Yannis' father uncovers the truth behind his son's actions during the invasion. Accused of betraying his friends to save himself, Yannis faces the dire consequences of his decisions, culminating in a trial for high treason led by his father, who ultimately passes judgment.
