One for the Road is a neat little piece of horror that captures that eerie vibe of isolation really well. Stranded during a snowstorm, our protagonist stumbles into Jerusalem's Lot, and boy, does that town have a creepy history. The atmosphere is thick with dread, drawing you in the longer he stays. The pacing has this slow burn that builds tension, which I find works perfectly for the story's dark themes. You can see the influences from King's original short story—there's a sense of inevitability that hangs over everything. The practical effects have a raw charm too; they really add to the unsettling vibe. Performances are solid, though it’s the town itself that feels like a character. Overall, it’s a well-crafted homage to horror’s roots in small towns.
Great for fans of Stephen King's adaptations.A unique take on the vampire genre with a focus on atmosphere.Perfect example of how setting can influence horror storytelling.
