One Piece Film Red is something else in the franchise. Directed by Goro Taniguchi, it's got this vibrant energy that matches Uta's larger-than-life persona. The animation pops in a way that feels fresh, and the action sequences are quite engaging, putting a new spin on the typical pirate adventure. There's this interesting theme of music as a weapon for peace, which feels timely. The pacing can be a bit uneven, especially with the blend of dramatic moments and catchy musical numbers. The characters, as always, are well fleshed out, but Uta really steals the show with her charisma. It's not your standard One Piece fare, which makes it stand out a bit β something collectors will appreciate for its uniqueness.
