Open Letter

The story follows thirty-year-old Dimitris, a man caught between the haunting memories of the German occupation and the realities of his present life. He finds himself at a crossroads when he meets Thaleia, a wealthy woman who shares his nightlife but is worlds apart from his everyday struggles.

Dimitris's mundane existence is challenged by the closure of the small industry where he worked for eight years, forcing him to confront the stark realities of his life. His relationship with Maria, a progressive evening school teacher, highlights the contrast between his faded dreams and her aspirations.

As the narrative unfolds, the film paints a poignant picture of social class and the personal dilemmas faced by individuals in a changing society. With a cast featuring Nikiforos Naneris and Eleni Theofilou, Open Letter provides a reflective look at the struggles of its characters in 1960s Greece.
