Operation Crossbow is a pretty interesting blend of war drama and spy thriller, directed by Michael Anderson. The film has this unique split between the German perspective and the Allies’ infiltration, which I think adds a nice layer of complexity. You get this authentic atmosphere with actual German actors speaking their language, it feels more grounded. The pacing can be a bit slow for modern tastes, but there's a tension that builds nicely with the practical effects—especially the scenes involving the missile tests. The whole thing captures that Cold War vibe, with themes of deception and duty. Plus, the performances from the ensemble cast are solid, bringing a gritty realism to the spy genre.
