Order of the Ram is this intriguing horror flick that really captures a certain unsettling atmosphere. It’s about Mary, this college girl who gets caught up in some pretty dark rituals thanks to the Order of the Ram. The woods are almost a character themselves, dense and suffocating, enhancing the sense of dread. The pacing is deliberate, allowing tension to build gradually, which I think works well in amplifying the horror. There are some solid practical effects, too, nothing over-the-top, but just enough to make you squirm. The performances, particularly from the cult members, inject a creepy authenticity into the mix. It’s not your typical slasher fare; there's something more insidious here, layered with themes of manipulation and loss of self.
