Orientation Day (2010) is a quirky little animated short that dives into the chaotic world of the Minions as they tackle their first day on the job. The humor is slapstick and contagious, showcasing that signature Minion charm. The pacing bounces along, never letting up as our three rookie Minions take on the absurd task of handling explosives. What I find distinct about this film is its playful nod to workplace culture, wrapped in that surreal, zany animation style we’ve come to expect. You can really feel the enthusiasm – which quickly turns to madness – and it’s all done without any dialogue, relying solely on expressive performances and visual gags, making it accessible to all ages. It’s like a delightful whirlwind.
