Oshûkatsu

The story centers around Shinichi and Chikako Ohara, who have been married for 50 years. With Shinichi's retirement, their relationship becomes strained as he stays at home while Chikako feels overwhelmed. Their impending divorce adds tension to the narrative.

Meanwhile, their daughter, Aya, runs a food truck and encounters Ryota Kanno, a funeral undertaker. As their relationship develops, Aya encourages her mother to attend the Oshukatsu Fair, where she learns about preparing for death. However, Shinichi's disapproval of this interest deepens the rift between him and Chikako, creating a poignant exploration of familial relationships and the challenges of aging and acceptance.
