Otto; or, Up with Dead People

In this 94-minute film, Otto, a young zombie, emerges on a remote highway without any memory of his past. After making his way to Berlin, he settles in an abandoned amusement park and becomes the subject of a documentary by underground filmmaker Medea Yarn. Together with her girlfriend Hella Bent and brother Adolf, they delve into Otto's life while Medea simultaneously works on her own political-porno-zombie film.

As Otto starts to uncover memories of his previous life, including his ex-boyfriend Rudolf, the narrative explores the complexities of love and loss through a unique lens. The film is set against the vibrant backdrop of Berlin and addresses themes of homophobia and identity, making it a distinctive entry in the comedy-horror-drama genre.
