Ougon Dorobo

The story follows Mikako, a housewife who becomes bored with her mundane life. When she steals a gold temple bell worth several million yen from a department store, she reignites her childhood dream of doing something extraordinary. This act of theft sets off a chain reaction, leading her to plot the theft of Hideyoshi’s golden tea bowl, which is valued at 10 billion yen.

As Mikako dives deeper into her plans, she faces challenges both from an SGC employee named Kinjo, who aims to manipulate her, and her husband, who unwittingly becomes involved in her schemes. The film blends comedy with crime as Mikako navigates her new reality, revealing the complexities of her decisions and the consequences that follow. The dynamic between her ambitions and the chaos that ensues offers a unique perspective on the lengths one might go to reclaim excitement in life.
