Ouija: Summoning is one of those low-key horror flicks that takes the classic premise of the Ouija board and runs with it. The film's atmosphere gets under your skin, weaving a sense of dread throughout Sara's increasingly tense journey. You really feel the weight of her struggle against this dark spirit, which, let's be honest, isn't just a cheap jump scare. The practical effects, while not groundbreaking, do have a gritty charm that adds to the overall unsettling vibe. There's something about the pacing, too; it meanders a bit, but it builds tension effectively. Performances are passable, but the real draw is how it explores themes of guilt and the burden of the past. It's a mixed bag, but there's a certain rawness to it that’s hard to shake off.
