After the fall of the Soviet empire, Russia's political interest in Africa diminished, yet the extensive footage captured during this time remains. Our Africa aims to reconstruct this era of the 'Great Utopia' and reveal the inner workings of the propaganda film industry that supported it. The inclusion of filmmakers from that time adds depth and authenticity to the narrative, providing a unique perspective on the historical context.
