Our Guy

The story centers on Dmitry Lopukhov, a student intern at a cable factory who earns a reputation as a reliable employee. As he is appointed to replace an engineer accused of fraud, Lopukhov's ambition drives him to pursue a life of success, even as he faces personal challenges, including his wife's unexpected pregnancy. This conflict leads to a rift in his marriage, prompting his wife, Nina, to seek a divorce.

As Lopukhov becomes entangled with the disgraced engineer, Stockman, he is influenced to commit a crime, ultimately leading to his downfall.
