Out of Iraq: A Love Story

In 2003, during the Iraq War, Nayyef and Btoo meet by chance, igniting a love that defies the harsh realities of their environment. With homosexuality banned in Iraq, their relationship places them in grave danger, facing persecution and potential death.

Nayyef, a translator for the U.S. military, secures a visa to leave Iraq and moves to Seattle, leaving Btoo behind. The film follows Nayyef's determination to reunite with Btoo in a safer place where they can express their love without fear. With a runtime of 81 minutes, this documentary captures the challenges and resilience of their love story against a backdrop of war and oppression.
