Palad ta ang Nagbuot

The story follows Dodong Valderama, an orphan and jack-of-trades, as he navigates life in Metro Manila in search of better opportunities. He encounters Inday and her grandmother, Lola Angeling, both of whom are also Visayan immigrants working as fish vendors. Angeling aspires for her daughter to achieve fame as a singer, hoping to escape their impoverished circumstances.

As Dodong finds employment as a janitor in a boxing gym, he experiences the challenges and triumphs of immigrant life. The film portrays themes of love, ambition, and the immigrant experience, particularly focusing on Dodong's relationship with Inday and their journey together. Their story unfolds against the backdrop of the struggles faced by many seeking a better life in the city.
