Pals First

The film tells the story of Richard Castleman, who embarks on a sea voyage, only to be presumed dead by those around him. His cousin, Harry Chilton, seizes the opportunity to court Castleman's fiancée, Jeanne Lamont, while plotting to take Castleman's fortune. Meanwhile, Danny Rowland, who resembles Castleman, arrives at the estate and is mistaken for him, leading to a series of complications.

As Danny navigates this web of deceit, he falls in love with Jeanne, who is unaware of his true identity. The plot thickens as Chilton becomes suspicious, ultimately resulting in a confrontation that reveals Danny's true nature and intentions.
