Parachutes

In "Parachutes," Youngwon Park, after suffering a family tragedy, is sent to the U.S. as part of a foreign exchange program. She finds herself living under the strict control of her host mother, George, in a trailer park that starkly contrasts her expectations of America. Youngwon's life becomes a battle against George's oppressive rules, as she takes on grueling chores with no reprieve.

The film delves into themes of family and survival, showcasing Youngwon's bond with Keiko, a Japanese exchange student also confined under George's roof. Together, they must navigate their harsh environment and find ways to communicate and support each other in their struggle for freedom and the pursuit of their dreams.
