Parasyte: Part 2 really digs deeper into the unsettling nature of its premise. Takashi Yamazaki does a solid job in balancing intense action with some emotional beats, which isn't easy with a story like this. The practical effects stand out – the grotesque transformations are raw and provide a tangible sense of horror that CGI often fails to capture. The pacing is a bit uneven at times, but the tension builds nicely, especially in the climactic sequences. The performances, particularly from the lead, bring a lot of depth to the human-alien dynamic, making you question what it means to be human. It’s a unique blend of genres that doesn’t shy away from the darker aspects of survival and coexistence.
