Paul and Virginia

The film follows Paul and Virginia, two children who grow up together on an idyllic island. When Virginia's mother receives a letter from a wealthy aunt in Paris, Virginia leaves to pursue a promising future, leaving Paul heartbroken. As Virginia attempts to navigate her new life, she faces pressure to marry a nobleman, ultimately leading to her disownment and return to her home.

Tragedy strikes when Virginia's ship encounters a hurricane on its way back, sinking just off the shore.
