Pelangi di Balik Awan

The story centers around Sumiati, who allows her husband to take a second wife, Yati, due to her inability to bear children. As Yati delivers a child, Sumiati unexpectedly becomes pregnant and gives birth to Mira, which brings tension to their household. Yati's growing resentment towards Sumiati leads to accusations and ultimately her departure.

Mira, caught in the middle of familial strife, learns the painful history of her parents' relationship as she faces insults from Yati regarding her monthly allowance. The plot thickens when Rachmat, betrothed to Yati's daughter Neneng, finds himself attracted to Mira, leading to jealousy and further complications.

As the narrative unfolds, Yati's infidelities come to light, culminating in a tragic series of events, including Neneng's suicide. The film concludes with moments of realization and reconciliation as characters confront their past mistakes, leaving a lasting impact on their relationships.
