Pepe Cáceres

The film tells the story of Pepe Cáceres, who endures a painful childhood marked by his father's suicide. Working for Melanio Murillo in a bullfighting comedy show, Pepe eventually leaves the exploitative environment to pursue his dream. With the mentorship of veteran matador Félix Rodríguez, he prepares for his journey to Spain, where he faces both personal and professional challenges.

Pepe's journey is complicated by his love for Luz Marina Zuluaga, creating a conflict between his ambitions and his adolescent feelings. His debut in Spain ends in tragedy when he is gored, forcing him to confront his past and the fears that haunt him.
