Petzl RocTrip China 2011

The documentary follows Olivier Balma and Erwan Le Lann as they explore the Getu Valley in Guizhou Province, discovering a unique climbing site filled with limestone tufas. With the support of the Chinese government and the Chinese Mountaineering Association, climbers set out to establish 250 new routes of varying difficulty levels.

The film features notable climbers like Chris Sharma, Arnaud Petit, Lynn Hill, and Daila Ojeda, highlighting their experiences during the Petzl RocTrip. The event becomes a gathering point for both local and visiting climbers, culminating in a remarkable achievement by Dani Andrada, who conquers an extremely difficult eight-pitch route, Corazon de Ensueno, in front of a large audience. The documentary not only showcases the climbing feats but also emphasizes the beauty and hospitality of the Getu Valley, which has since become a renowned climbing destination.
