So, Phantasm IV: Oblivion picks up right where Phantasm III left off, diving deeper into the twisted lore of the Tall Man. Mike’s journey across different dimensions is a fascinating mix of horror and science fiction that really plays with the mind. The atmosphere is dense, filled with that unmistakable eerie vibe that the series is known for. I mean, the practical effects, especially the killer spheres, still have that gnarly charm. Reggie’s character really shines here as he faces both external threats and his own demons. It’s a slower burn, but that pacing allows for some introspective moments, tying past and present in a rather interesting way. Definitely adds layers to the already rich Phantasm mythos.
