Pineapple Tours

Pineapple Tours presents three interconnected tales each directed by different filmmakers. The first story, 'Aunt Reiko,' follows an opera singer returning to her island to seek help from a spiritualist after losing her voice. The second story, 'Haruko & Hideyoshi,' depicts an outsider tricked into marrying a local girl after a visit to the island god of fertility.

The final story, 'Bomb Kids,' focuses on two children in a punk band seeking to acquire a significant sum of money. Throughout these narratives, the backdrop of an unexploded WWII bomb, a large model pineapple, and the threat of hotel development ties the stories together. This anthology format offers a diverse perspective on life in Okinawa, making it appealing for those interested in unique cinematic storytelling.
