Ping Pong Coach

The story centers on Tsi-an and Yi-rui, an accomplished doubles team in table tennis. Tsi-an, feeling overshadowed by Yi-rui, seeks extra training from Yi-rui's father, who is also the coach. This leads to an exploration of her feelings as she develops a crush on the coach during their one-on-one sessions.

This film adopts Tsi-an's perspective, capturing her romantic fantasies and the emotional journey of growing up. The narrative illustrates her feelings of inferiority, joy, and disappointment as she navigates her adolescent experiences. LIN Yen-chen's performance as Tsi-an highlights the complexities of teenage emotions, while the brief appearances of other characters, including Yi-rui and Tsi-an's grandmother, add depth to the story.
