Pintea

The film takes place in the Maramureș region, where Grigore Pintea returns home to find tragedy has struck his family and community. After witnessing the brutal treatment of villagers by Bartolok Graff, he deserts the Austrian army and transforms into an outlaw. Pintea rallies local peasants and leads them in a rebellion, managing to seize control of two fortresses.
