Pinwydd features anthropomorphic characters that represent complex issues such as animal husbandry, militarization, and capitalist markets, all while drawing inspiration from the Mabinogion myth of Blodeuwedd. The film's narrative is rooted in the realities of climate collapse and extractivism, making it both timely and thought-provoking.

This project was developed by the youth-led collective Stiwdio Dyfi with contributions from local LGBTQIA+ participants, showcasing a unique community-driven approach. The film reimagines forestry landscapes and rural life, blending myth and fantasy to challenge the dominant perceptions of capitalism.

As a piece of art, Pinwydd stands out for its innovative storytelling and community involvement. Its genre-spanning themes of horror, fantasy, and science fiction offer a fresh perspective on contemporary issues, appealing to collectors interested in thought-provoking cinema.
