Play Off

The film features Johan, a 35-year-old soccer fan who, despite being unemployed, finds ways to enjoy the games during the 1990 Soccer World Championships. Without a TV, he relies on friends and bars to watch the matches, all while being pursued by hit men due to a debt related to a grand piano.

As Johan navigates his precarious situation, he enlists the help of Kenneth, who is also down on his luck. Together, they embark on a plan to smuggle 15 Iraqis from Frankfurt to Sweden, adding layers of comedy and crime to the narrative. With a runtime of 81 minutes, Play Off delivers an engaging combination of sports enthusiasm and quirky escapades.
