Plum Blossom in March

The story follows university lecturer Xiao Renyuan as he returns to his hometown for a funeral. Along the way, he meets civil servant Leng Chunhua, who is working on poverty alleviation in Shierpan Village. This encounter inspires a traditional farmer, Zhang Gui, to embrace new agricultural practices and technology in collaboration with struggling households.

As the narrative unfolds, the film also delves into the personal dynamics between Xiao Renyuan and his father, addressing their emotional distance. With the support of Chunhua, the father-son relationship begins to mend, highlighting the importance of both community efforts and family bonds in overcoming challenges.
