Pollo Cante is a curious piece, really. It’s got this languid pacing that mirrors the protagonist’s aimlessness—it's not for everyone, but there’s something oddly captivating about it. The vast, desolate landscapes create a unique atmosphere, almost like a character in itself. The physical comedy is raw, with the main guy injuring himself in increasingly ridiculous ways, and yet there's a deeper commentary on existential dread and disillusionment. The performances, while not flashy, are sincere, adding to that feeling of odd authenticity. The lack of a known director gives it this underground vibe, which makes it feel like a hidden gem rather than a mainstream endeavor. Definitely a distinctive watch.
Uneven pacing may not appeal to all viewers · Interesting take on aimlessness and injury · Raw physical comedy adds to its unique charm
