Post Mortem, America 2021 (2013) definitely has a unique vibe. Lucille, played by Linnea Quigley, gets a raw deal right off the bat—murdered by a crime boss and his henchmen. But then she comes back, hell-bent on revenge in a pretty wild twist. The film plays with the horror tropes pretty cleverly, blending demon and zombie elements. The practical effects are solid for its budget, giving that gritty feel that fans often appreciate. The pacing might feel a bit off to some, but it allows the buildup of tension to simmer. Jim O'Rear as Severin adds a sleazy charm that fits right in with the over-the-top atmosphere. It’s a film that leans into its quirks, and that’s part of what makes it stand out.
