Postspectacle at Mall

The film centers around a character known as the Candidate, who participates in a performance art show at the AFI Palace Mall in Bucharest. The Candidate's performances, rooted in modern dance, are meant to gain exposure rather than monetary reward. Despite the official invitation, the event faces numerous setbacks, leading to rising tensions among mall staff as the situation evolves.

As the night unfolds, the Candidate's presence is both celebrated and contested, culminating in a police intervention that ultimately leads to his removal. Interspersed with ballet performances from young dancers of the National Opera and scheduled acts from acrobats and popular Romanian bands, this film captures the chaotic energy of a public spectacle. A raffle adds to the evening's unexpected turns, ensuring that attendees leave with a sense of participation, regardless of the outcome of the main event.
