Priest

The film unfolds in an alternate reality where humanity has been locked in a ceaseless war with vampires. After the last conflict, the protagonist, known simply as the Priest, lives under the strict control of a church within a fortified city. When his niece is abducted by vampires, he defies his religious vows to embark on a mission to save her. His companions include her boyfriend, a sheriff accustomed to the wastelands outside the city walls, and a former warrior priestess who aids in the fight.

Scott Stewart directed Priest with a focus on blending elements of horror, fantasy, and action, creating a dark and stylized atmosphere. The casting brought together actors from various popular genres: Paul Bettany as the stoic, conflicted lead; Karl Urban as the rugged wasteland sheriff; and Lily Collins as the kidnapped niece.
