Prisoners of Land

The story follows Juli, the daughter of farmer András Balogh, who leaves her village after being enchanted by a circus. She becomes entangled with a dance master in the capital, leading to a tumultuous relationship marked by abuse. In search of freedom, she escapes and takes on a new identity as Juliette, finding temporary luxury in Russia.

As war ensues, Juli's past catches up with her when she discovers her father among the prisoners brought to the castle. The film delves into themes of shame and redemption as Juli ultimately chooses to return to her roots, shedding her life of luxury to reconnect with her true self.
