The film follows Kamil and Vlasta, a married couple who live apart due to their work commitments. When Vlasta unexpectedly visits Prague to surprise Kamil, she discovers he is not where he claims to be. Her encounter with Kamil’s mistress leads to a series of comedic misunderstandings, showcasing the lengths Kamil goes to in order to maintain his charade.
