Quartet in Bed

This film presents a snapshot of life in West Berlin during the summer of 1968, featuring different quartets that reflect the era's attitude. The anarchic bards, known as "Insterburg & Co.,” traverse the backyards of Kreuzberg, sharing silly poems and homemade instruments with their companions.

The Jacob Sisters, accompanied by their four poodles, showcase their talents as international show stars in luxury hotels, adding to the film's musical charm. Meanwhile, four oil sheikhs on a state visit provide a contrasting view of postcard Berlin, enriching the narrative with their presence. The film combines elements of comedy and music, making it a distinctive piece from the late 1960s.
