Raising the Stakes

The film follows Steve and Bob, two enthusiasts whose passion for vampire role-playing games leads them down a darkly comical path. Their desire to become real vampires for revenge against a world that ridicules them takes a turn when they encounter Maxwell Selwyn, a dealer in the occult who sells them a potion to fulfill their fantasy.

As they transform into vampires, their expectations clash with reality, revealing that the grass is not always greener. The humor stems from their failed attempts to instill fear and their eventual realization that their previous lives, adorned with cheap Halloween makeup, may have been more enjoyable.
