Rapsodia de sangre

The film follows Andras Pulac, a young pianist who initially refuses to perform a concert honoring a senior Soviet leader, an act of defiance against the 1956 invasion of Hungary. His decision inadvertently impacts a demonstration against communist oppression, as the concert was meant to symbolize resistance.

As events unfold, Andras learns of the significance of his performance and ultimately agrees to go through with the concert. The plot also intertwines his love story with Maria Kondor, the daughter of a communist journalist, adding a personal dimension to the political turmoil.
