Red Istanbul

The story follows Orhan, a travel writer who has lived in London for years, as he returns to Turkey to assist Deniz, a well-known director, in editing his first book. Orhan becomes entangled in Deniz's intricate web of relationships, mysterious friends, and peculiar family members, all set against the backdrop of a once-grand mansion that reflects the passage of time.

This film marks Ferzan Özpetek's return to shooting in Turkey after a significant period, and it is adapted from his own book of the same name. With a runtime of 110 minutes, Red Istanbul features a prominent cast, including Halit Ergenç, Tuba Büyüküstün, and Nejat İşler, which adds depth to its exploration of personal and familial connections.
