Red Mist, directed by Paddy Breathnach, definitely has its own unique take on the horror-thriller genre. The atmosphere is pretty unsettling, with a nice blend of tension that builds as the story progresses. The pacing dips in parts but those slow moments often lead to some intense revelations. The practical effects, especially during the possession scenes, are solid and add a visceral quality that’s really engaging. The performances are quite compelling, especially the actor playing the coma patient – he captures that dark, twisted essence well. It's an interesting exploration of morality and the consequences of playing God. There's something about its execution that sticks with you, even if it doesn’t always hit the marks.
