Rejected

The story unfolds as Aiganym, born into an Orthodox Kazakh family, faces rejection from her family after giving birth to her son, Timur. Living in the capital city, she grapples with the stigma of single motherhood, leading to a strained relationship with her family, particularly her eldest brother, who resorts to violence.

As Timur grows older, he struggles with a homework assignment that highlights their fractured family structure. This prompts Aiganym to confront her past and her family's rejection, leading her to repeatedly attempt to return home for her son's sake. The film delves into themes of love, resilience, and the quest for acceptance.
