Rental Family

In 'Rental Family', Yoko balances her demanding job with the responsibility of caring for her mother, Chieko, who is suffering from dementia. As Chieko's condition deteriorates, Yoko's father, Tadakatsu, also faces challenges in supporting her. The narrative unfolds as Yoko discovers the 'Rental Family' service, which introduces her to a rental husband, Go Matsushita, and a child actor, Shuri Yasuda.

This film highlights the evolving concept of family in contemporary society. As Yoko interacts with Matsushita and Shuri, she begins to find unexpected joy in her life, despite the weight of her mother's illness. The performances by Yuri Ogino, Yui Komazuka, Shinji Matsubayashi, Sotaro Tanaka, and Hirofumi Suzuki bring depth to this poignant story.
