Resident Evil: Degeneration is a solid entry in the franchise, showcasing those familiar game elements in animated form. The film dives right into the horror, which is a nice nod to the survival aspects of the games. Leon and Claire have a pretty good dynamic, and the voice acting isn't half bad either, especially for an animated feature. The G-Virus is back, with some unsettling brutal mutations that feel very much in line with the source material. The pacing can be a bit uneven, but it does manage to build tension effectively. The animation style has its moments, particularly in the action sequences, which are well choreographed if not a bit over-the-top. Overall, it’s a decent watch for fans wanting more from the series.
